If you were born in the late 70s or early 80s, then you’ve probably heard the “sticks and stones” quote a time or two. You know, “sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me.” Thanks to numerous studies and lots of data, we now are aware that yes, sticks and stones can break bones, but words can also hurt you. As Buddha says, words can tear people down if used inappropriately.
