The sacrifices of each of the men and women in the military are great. They serve our country proudly, with honor, dedication and bravery. When their active duty service is complete or they are in between tours of duty, they come back to our country and need to reintegrate into civilian life, but often have invisible wounds themselves.
The tragic events of 9/11 were a turning point for our country and many in the military graciously stepped up to defend and protect our country during a historically difficult time. Many of these military personnel have recently completed their well over a decade of continuous service and it is time for us to help them.
The mission of The Spirit of Huntington Art Center is to help the men and women who have given their service to our military. This organization helps our troops get back to their lives as smoothly as possible. We all understand that these individuals need to be given time and space to heal as they adjust to civilian life after so much time on active duty. This transition is critical to the long-term health of these individuals and their loving families. This is the focus of The Spirit of Huntington Art Center. This organization wants to support these warriors and show them our immense gratitude for their service.
