If you look at any big “coming home” party for our brave veterans, somewhere in the crowd a person is likely to be holding a sign stating, “support our troops.” While we, as a nation, should be thankful every day for the sacrifices our warriors have made, it’s hard to always show it. A famous saying goes something like, “life gets in the way.” Life does get in the way and your instagram selfie doesn’t always portray the thankfulness of living in a free country as it should.
