Since the discovery of the first cave drawings to the more sophisticated, modern, but still ancient yin yang, to the peace sign of the twentieth century, the power of the symbol is an integral part of the human experience. Symbols help us make connections between actual experience and the abstractions that help us make progress as individuals, communities, and societies.
